Grizzly attacks may lead to hiking restrictions

Hikers may be required to travel in groups and hike in daylight hours only in a remote area of Banff National Park in light of grizzly bear attacks in recent years. That's a Parks Canada proposal aimed at increasing public safety and habitat security for grizzlies in the Middle Spray/Bryant Creek region, considered one of three areas in the park vital to breeding female grizzlies
