Group hiking rule imposed in Moraine Lake area

Group hiking is now mandatory in the Moraine Lake area after a grizzly bear stalked a lone hiker in the Larch Valley area for about 20 minutes last week. The close encounter and several bear sightings, including a grizzly spotted outside Moraine Lake Lodge around 6:45 a.m. on July 24 prompted Parks Canada to implement restricted access.
