With an out-of-control blaze less than a kilometre from his doorstep, the owner of Kootenay Park Lodge is standing his ground to save his property. Crews are hosing down the 1923 structure, but, with resources stretched to the limit, Parks Canada is focusing on another fire amid fears it could spread into the developed Bow Valley, where Banff and Lake Louise lie.
