Tourist drowns in Maligne River

A 42-year-old man from Richmond is dead after going over a waterfall in Jasper National Park on Monday. The RCMP says the man had been walking through the Maligne River Canyon with his 12-year-old son. A police spokesperson says the man climbed onto some slippery rocks, lost his footing and plunged over the falls into the river below.
