Banff Mayor Dennis Shuler said he is looking for suggestions on a possible off-leash dog area within town boundaries. Parks Canada officials say that an off-leash area in Banff National Park is simply not an option they can consider. “It’s contrary to the National Parks Act and Banff National Park Management Plan. You can’t have dogs off-leash.”
