Banff and Kootenay National Parks received about 1-2 ml of welcome rain overnight and this morning. Highway 93 South in Kootenay National Park has been reopened to traffic for a 24-hour period daily – conditions permitting. Two frontcountry closures in Banff – the Johnson Canyon trail from Lower falls to Upper Falls, and the Sulphur Mtn. Summit trails – have been lifted today. These trails are now open for use.
