“I’m sure nowhere else in the world do we have an endangered species within a national historic site, within a national park, which is within a UNESCO world heritage site,” says Parks biologist DwayneLepitzky. “If we can't protect a species that lives under those different levels of jurisdiction, what chances do some of the other animals have?”
