Parks Canada will lift the fire ban in Banff National Park as of September 10. Significant amounts of precipitation have reduced the forest fire danger in Banff and Jasper national parks, said Kathy Rettie, a spokesperson for Parks Canada. A fire ban will remain in effect for Yoho, Kootenay, Waterton, Revelstoke and Glacier national parks.
