Man faces $1.1 million fraud charge

Between July 1997 and December 2000, RCMP say John Anthony Franchi allegedly obtained five loans from the Banff branch of the Bank of Montreal, totalling $729,000. Cops say the loans were obtained for the purchase of fictional restaurant franchises.
