Jerry Johnston has been inducted into the Canadian Paralympic Hall of Fame. Johnston began teaching skiing to people with mobility impairments at his Sunshine Village Ski School nearly 40 years ago. During the 1960s, Jerry took on more students and was founding president of the Alberta Amputee Ski Association in 1970. In 1976, he founded the Canadian Association for Disabled Skiing.
