A possible scam to attract writers to Banff for a series of conferences may taint legitimate Canadian events, says an author who was scheduled to attend what was billed as the Banff Writer’s Conference (not to be confused with the legitimate Banff-Calgary International Writers Festival, now running at The Banff Centre.)
