First avalanches of the season, no injuries

Avalanche season announced itself Thursday, with two slides in Banff National Park. Both were triggered by skiers and snowboarders, but no one was injured. Parks Canada says the first avalanche happened in the West Bowl, outside the Lake Louise ski area. The second occurred at Bow Summit, a backcountry ski area on Highway 93 North
