Banff Centre appoints Edmonton Symphony's David Hoyt director of Music & Sound

David Hoyt, artistic director and resident conductor of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, will take over leadership of The Banff Centre's Music & Sound programs effective April 1, 2004. Hoyt has been appointed to the position of artistic director, Music & Sound. Hoyt will follow in the footsteps of Isobel Moore Rolston, artistic director/executive producer of Music & Sound, and Tom Rolston, director of Summer Music Programs, who will retire in fall 2004. The Rolstons will continue in their roles until September, allowing a smooth transition to Hoyt’s leadership.
