Banff Nordic racer Philip Widmer has qualified for the Under 23 World Championships to be held in Salt Lake City, from February 12-15. A first place finish in a sprint at Silver Star and a seventh place finish in Kelowna last month secured him a spot among the top Canadian skiers in his age group.
