Three experienced ice climbers, including two police officers from Washington state, are dead after being swept off an ice fall in an avalanche north of Lake Louise. The three Puget Sound-area men, on holiday with friends, were on a route called Midnight Rambler on Mount Wilson, about an hour north of Lake Louise, when a Class 3 avalanche hit and pulled them off the challenging 240-metre-long route Thursday afternoon.
