Parks Canada is planning to launch a DNA study of grizzly bears in Banff and adjoining mountain parks after two young bears were killed by scientists trying to place radio collars on them two years ago. The move concerns wildlife conservationists who say more grizzly research is needed but are worried the end of the collaring program will eliminate important information about the movement of grizzlies in and around the parks.
