It will cost at least $160 million to twin the most dangerous stretch of road in the province, a project Parks Canada hopes will be underway next spring. The 33-kilometre stretch through Banff National Park – from Castle Junction to the B.C. border – will be made a four-lane, divided highway, with 19 spots for wildlife to travel over or under the road.
