Town officials still tight-lipped about Bennett’s retirement deal

A spokesman for Banff’s Small Business Association is left with more questions than answers over former town manager Jim Bennett’s final salary figures. John Seigner, head of the SBAB’s lobbying group, said Bennett’s $240,788 salary and benefits package for 2003 –– nearly double the $120,507 from the year before according to Banff’s audited financial statements –– could reflect a negotiated settlement with the town.
