Parks begins 10-year study on amphibians

Brenda and Dwayne Lepitzki, noted for their work with the Banff Springs snail, are now focused on cataloguing all the amphibians captured at two sites near Johnsons Lake. Another research team is studying locations closer to Carrot Creek. The 10-year study will attempt to determine if prescribed burns or wildfires have a negative impact on amphibian populations.
