Bear fence could encircle Lake Louise

Parks Canada is considering enclosing Lake Louise with an electric fence to keep grizzly bears away from the community. This spring there were 11 grizzlies living around the community. Wardens say the bears are wandering into the hamlet more often, and in the last four years, five of them have been killed on the highway and railway.
