A mountain climber and a hiker died over the weekend while trekking in some of the most popular areas of Alberta's Rocky Mountain parks. Four mountain climbers were making their way up a “moderately difficult” route on Mount Athabasca in Jasper National Park Sunday morning when two of them, linked by rope, about 100 metres from the ground, were struck by rocks falling from about 180 metres above them.
