Parks job action closes facilities

Striking Parks Canada workers continued their job action yesterday, forcing the closure of some facilities. The job action — in its second day — affected Banff, Jasper, Yoho, Kootenay and Waterton Lakes National parks. Major campgrounds were open while some of the smaller ones in Banff and Jasper closed. The Cave and Basin and Banff Park Museum were also closed, as was the Banff Upper Hot Springs.
