4800 Parks Canada workers walk off the job September 4, 2004
All 4800 Parks Canada employees represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada walked off the job Friday, just as the long weekend begins. Members of PSAC are trying to paralyze National Parks across the country. Entry to Banff National Park was free to visitors Friday, but Parks Canada was forced to close the Hot Springs on Sulfur Mountain because of the strike.Smaller campgrounds around Banff were also closed.
