Many Parks Canada employees returned to work on Saturday after threatening earlier in the week to disrupt services throughout the normally busy Labour Day weekend. Kevin King, a western representative with the union representing the workers, said employees at Banff and Jasper in Alberta returned to their jobs Saturday because cool weather was keeping the number of visitors to parks low. With few visitors, King said the effect of keeping the general strike going throughout the weekend would be minimal.
