Lake Louise to open World Cup downhill

For the first time ever, the famed Lake Louise Ski resort in the Canadian Rocky Mountains will open the World Cup downhill season with five internationally televised races for the world's top male and female racers. Alpine Canada Alpin and Resorts of the Canadian Rockies announced that this year's CIBC Winterstart Lake Louise World Cup will launch the ski racing season lead-up to the 2006 Winter Olympics in Italy with a men's downhill and super G, respectively held on November 27 and 28, 2004.
