The environmental assessment of the decommissioning of the Banff and Jasper airstrips has been released and is open for public comment until November 26, 2004. The decommissioning of the Banff airstrip is one of the final steps in the opening up of the Cascade wildife corridor to restore more natural wildife movement and predator-prey relationships near the Town of Banff.
