Banff tax bills to rise for 2005

After weeks of deliberations Banff town council approved both the 2005 operating and capital budgets with a projected tax increase of 3.52 per cent. That increase means about $30 more in taxes on a Banff home valued at $360,000. For businesses it means an increase of $416 on every million dollars of assessed value.
