A B.C. man has been sentenced to three years in federal prison for his role in a high-speed chase down the Trans-Canada Highway and through Banff last April. Despite the fact that Douglas Clement Herman, 48, had never been in trouble with the law until 2003, a damning pre-sentence report left Provincial Court Judge John Reilly with what he said was no choice but to impose a hefty sentence.
