A seven-year-old girl from New York State was killed when she hit a tree while skiing Friday afternoon. RCMP said the child had been wearing a helmet. She was taken from the Norquay Ski resort to hospital in nearby Banff, where she died from her injuries. The girl and her father were on vacation in the area. RCMP said her father was accompanying her while she was skiing.
