The single biggest cultural celebration of Alberta's centennial this year won't be happening in Edmonton or Calgary but 3,500 kilometres to the east, in Ottawa, as the National Arts Centre hosts a 13-day showcase of the province's artistic riches, starting April 28. The festival officially starts with a performance of the Banff Centre-sponsored opera Filumena.
