Federal budget has money for parks

The county's national parks will see a cash infusion of $200 million over the next five years, a funding boost critics say has been too long coming. But they say the money dedicated in Wednesday's federal budget only begins to address the problems Canada's parks are facing, including Banff and Jasper. “The mountain parks themselves need about just over $300 million, just to bring the infrastructure up to an acceptable level,” Kim Endres, with the Association for Mountain Parks Protection and Enjoyment, said.
