Officials in Banff want to tax tourists and implement user fees to ease the mounting financial burden on Alberta's most famous tourist town. And the municipality hopes to bump up pressure on the provincial government for more financial assistance in maintaining Banff as a world-class destination, including a possible call for a percentage of Alberta's 4% tourism levy.
