Frank Lloyd Wright would have been proud. Though he didn't design Doug and Holly Wood's Banff home, built across the street from the Bow River in 1970, the famous American architect would certainly applaud the couple's renovations to the landmark house, modelled after his “prairie” style. Situated on a 100-foot-wide by 150-foot-deep reverse walk-out lot, the 5,000-square-foot bungalow was originally designed by architect Laszlo Funtek. It's apparent he borrowed heavily from Frank Lloyd Wright’s trademark design style — low-profile roofline, open-concept living space under a vaulted ceiling, modern finishes and commanding windows that bring the outside indoors.
