A hiker's close encounter with a grizzly has prompted a bear warning for a popular tourist destination in Banff National Park. Hikers have been told they must go out in groups of six or more in the famed Moraine Lake region near Lake Louise due to elevated grizzly bear activity. Restricted access also applies to Consolation Lakes, Larch Valley, Sentinel Pass, Wasatch Pass, Eiffel Lake, Wenkchemna Pass, Sheol Valley and Paradise Valley. The Paradise Valley backcountry campground is closed.
