Bear 66 moved away from Banff townsite

The fringes of the Banff townsite and areas on the south side of the Trans- Canada Highway have been declared a no-go zone for a grizzly bear that bit an illegal camper on June 24. Bear 66 and her three cubs were gently hazed by wardens from the Tunnel Mountain area into the Cascade wildlife corridor on the north side of the highway on June 25.
