Parks hopes to someday eradicate invasive weeds

Parks Canada plans to embark on an ambitious nine-year program to reduce and eventually eradicate rapidly spreading weeds from Banff National Park. Seventy-one non-native plant species have been identified in Banff, however Parks plans a control program for 17 of the higher priority plants, including ox-eye daisy and Canada thistle.
