Banff Mounties are getting a long-awaited increase in manpower with the planned hiring of a new cop and RCMP administrative clerk. On July 18, Banff council approved spending of $100,300 of a municipal policing grant announced in the 2005 provincial budget for the two new positions. The positions likely won't be filled until some time next year.
