Woman hikes to safety after bear attack August 28, 2005
After being mauled in the head by a grizzly bear, a woman calmly hiked 15 minutes through backcountry until she stumbled upon a campground and was rescued. The 40-year-old Banff resident is recovering in a Calgary hospital in stable condition after receiving reconstructive surgery to her head. Other news for August 2005 |
