Banff’s endangered snail is well on its way to recovery, allowing researchers to end the groundbreaking captive breeding program. Up to 4,500 tiny captive-bred snails are to be removed from their existing homes in six 40-litre tanks and put into Banff’s hot springs sometime this fall.
