Ophaned grizzly to remain at Calgary Zoo all winter October 17, 2005
The Calgary Zoo will continue to care for a grizzly cub that was orphaned in Banff National Park. The Zoo will keep the cub until at least the spring. The young male cub was transported to the zoo last month after its two siblings were struck and killed on the TransCanada Highway. The three cubs had been left to fend for themselves after their mother was killed when she was hit by a train in August. Other news for October 2005 |
