A king eider duck, a bird normally found in the remote Arctic, has been spotted in Banff. It's the first such sighting of the sea duck in Alberta in more than 100 years. The sighting was recorded by Peter Poole and Reno Sommerhalder on Banff's Lake Minnewanka during the annual Christmas bird count last week.
