Drive West is a partnership between the governments of Canada, Alberta and B.C., the Alberta Motor Association and the IBI Group and has been operational since early-December. The initiative is a computerized system which provides real-time road condition information to motorists. It’s currently being tried out on the QE II Hwy. between Edmonton and Calgary and on Hwy. 1, west of Calgary, through Banff National Park to the B.C. border.
