Candidate Myron Thompson reported to be hoping for “good Christian” government that will stop abortion (UPDATE) January 19, 2006
Conservative incumbent Myron Thompson, running for his fifth term as MP in the House of Commons, has called for government that would represent “good Christian” values and make it a priority to stop abortion in Canada. According to the Banff Crag and Canyon’s January 17 edition (story not available on-line), Thompson made the statements to a small group of supporters in Canmore on January 11. Crag reporter Alyson McAndrews referred to the statements as “slip-ups that perhaps illustrate the true nature of his social conservative beliefs.” UPDATE: Aidan Henderson, campaign manager to Myron Thompson, has contacted Digital Banff claiming that the article in the Crag was inaccurate and Thompson was quoted out of context.
