Wardens kill black bear after cyclist mauled

Emergency services and park wardens rushed to the aid of a man mauled by a bear near the Banff townsite last night The attack happened about 8:15 p.m. in the Tunnel Mountain area just east of the townsite. A Calgary-based STARS helicopter was dispatched to the Banff Mineral Springs Hospital to pick up the victim, a local man believed to be 41 years of age, who was taken from the area, bleeding severely from tear wounds to his chest and right shoulder.
