An examination on the carcass of a black bear that mauled a Banff man last week has revealed the creature was healthy despite being underweight Calgary Zoo veterinarian Dr. Doug Whiteside conducted a necropsy on the 144-pound animal yesterday to check for any diseases or other factors that may have spurred the bruin to maul 41-year-old Greg Flaaten.
