Apparently, the Banff Springs pays Parks Canada $100 annually. A call to Fairmont produced a no comment and the reminder that it is now a private company and not obligated to make such things public. A call to Parks Canada yielded this response from a spokesman: “Those amounts are non-disclosed. It’s part of their leasehold agreement so we don't give those figures out.”
