An avalanche warning has been issued for Banff, Yoho and Kootenay national parks, upgrading the alpine treeline danger rating to considerable, meaning human-triggered avalanches are probable. Parks Canada reported 20 centimetres of snow fell within 24 hours at the Sunshine Village ski area. The Bow Summit received more than 30 centimetres.
